I talked with LaCie about this and they indicated it’s a firmware issue but didn’t explain if it was in the 2Big drive or this device. Definitely the worth the investment. Unplugging the connected device sometimes causes you to unplug the card. Write a review dbdvfrwvxdeyccbrywtwazzxtvrre.
LaCie has a fast, easy-to-install solution if you want to upgrade your laptop or notebook for use with USB 3. Granted it’s not as much as advertised, but that could be the fault of either the disk, the card, or the driver used.

I need this because I use virtual machine for everything these days through Fusion on my MacBook Pro. Fastkey would not mount on my macbook pro. It transferred 7 GBS of video to the drive in 2 min!!
The connector is secure but very tight. All-in-all definitely worth the cash for the significant boost in speed! And boy was I right!!

This device barely meets USB 2. What can be better than being able to use USB 3. You have to unplug and replug the device to lavie it. Please consult the LaCie website for information on which Mac laptops are compatible.
